Who we are...
Playing shows together throughout BC and Alberta for over 15 years, Sarah Masterman and Nadine Veroba have developed a unique sound as they enjoy putting their own spin on a wide variety of songs and genres including those by Johnny Cash, Radiohead, The Cranberries, Tom Waits, and pretty much everything in between! You can expect to hear complex vocal harmonies, piano, guitar and various percussive instruments at any of their shows, and perhaps even a few original songs too.
Sarah and Nadine initially met while both taking the Music Program at MacEwan University where they both majored in Voice in 2004. After bonding over a mutual admiration for Sarah McLachlan, their musical partnership began, and they have played together ever since.
Nadine, a Certified Music Therapist, brings her talent of connecting with audiences, and Sarah her knack for close harmonies and haunting melodies, which meld together to speak to fans across the musical spectrum and span the generations.
This Edmonton-based duo is particularly well suited for intimate gatherings, coffee shops, restaurants, and house concerts. When joined by good friend and talented guitarist Gavin Kirkpatrick, Sarah and Nadine also play in their other group, The Penny Farthings. Whether they are playing as their duo or in The Penny Farthings, Sarah and Nadine are sure to play a little something for everyone.
